Overview
Walt Disney Productions, now known as The Walt Disney Company, has delivered an anthology television series under various titles since 1954, debuting on ABC that same year. For 36 years, the show aired weekly on major networks, with a brief interruption from 1984 to 1985. Most notably, it was a Sunday night staple for 25 years. After a sporadic run from 1991 to 1997, the series returned to a regular schedule in 1997, aligning with Disney's acquisition of ABC. From then until 2008, it enjoyed consistent airtime, later being featured as special presentations on the network.
