Talking About the Weather (2022)
Clara, a philosophy Ph.D. candidate in Berlin, grapples with feelings of alienation in a male-dominated academic world. When she travels back to her childhood village in former East Germany to celebrate her mother’s birthday, she confronts the emotional rift that has developed between her and her family. This reunion forces Clara to reflect on her identity and the changes within her familial relationships, revealing the complexities of connection and the impact of her academic pursuits on her personal life.
