Salaam Bombay! (1988)
After breaking his brother's motorcycle to get back at his relentless teasing, 11-year-old Krishna is sent to work for a traveling circus to cover the repair costs. However, he finds himself navigating the harsh realities of Bombay’s slums. Amidst the struggles, he forms bonds with Chillum, a drug dealer, and Sola Saal, a young prostitute. As he juggles his new friendships, Krishna works tirelessly at a local tea stall, hoping to earn enough money to repay his family's debt and escape the challenging life he never anticipated.
