Overview

Melinda, a high school freshman, has become mute after reporting a traumatic incident at a summer party. Her former friends abandon her, labeling her a traitor, while her preoccupied parents remain oblivious to her pain. Isolated and burdened by her secret—she was raped by the charming senior Andy—she struggles to cope. Amid her turmoil, Melinda discovers a refuge in her art class, where Mr. Freeman encourages her to express herself and confront her trauma.
