Successful attorney Michael Pierson has kept his homosexuality a secret from his family, including his mother Katherine, father Nick, and grandmother Beatrice. However, when he learns that he has AIDS and faces a looming death, he can no longer hide his truth. Gathering the courage to reveal his condition, he introduces his long-term partner, Peter, to his family. Despite his anxiety about their potential reactions, Michael seeks their acceptance and support as he navigates the emotional turmoil of his diagnosis and the impact it has on their relationships.
