Doctor Faustus (1967)
Faustus, a brilliant scholar from the University of Wittenberg, becomes dissatisfied with the limitations of traditional knowledge after earning his doctorate. Driven by an overwhelming desire for power and understanding, he turns to necromancy, summoning the demon Mephistopheles. In a fateful bargain, Faustus exchanges his soul to Lucifer for 24 years of servitude from Mephistopheles. With his blood, he seals the pact, unlocking the dark secrets of the devil.
