Boys Town (1938)
Father Flanagan, a dedicated and resolute priest, manages Boys Town, an innovative juvenile facility focused on rehabilitation rather than punishment. Here, troubled boys are encouraged to transform their lives for the better. However, the arrival of Whitey Marsh—a reckless petty thief and pool hustler with a violent streak—poses a significant challenge. As the younger brother of a convicted murderer, Whitey’s turbulent nature tests Flanagan’s tough-love approach, forcing the priest to confront whether his methods can truly reform even the most troubled youths.
