The Tasting (2022)
Hortense, a kind-hearted woman, finds solace in cooking gourmet meals for the homeless, but her true companionship lies with her cat and her bitter mother. A chance encounter with Jacques, a surly cellarman, ignites her interest during a wine purchase. Determined to reconnect, she joins a chaotic tasting event at his shop, where she meets his awkward friend and a talented, brutally honest apprentice. As her bond with Jacques deepens, unresolved issues from their pasts resurface, challenging their budding relationship and forcing them to confront their emotional baggage.
