Overview

Egotistical crime novelist George Melville finds himself entwined in the mystery of an infamous art thief presumed dead. While pursuing this case, he also becomes romantically involved with a charming young actress starring in a play that serves as a front for a major jewel heist. With the help of his spirited assistant Claire Peyton and the relentless newspaper editor Phil Bane, George delves deeper into the criminal underworld.
