Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970)
Valerie, a young girl in Czechoslovakia, navigates the complexities of adolescence under her grandmother's care. When she discovers a pair of enchanted earrings, her perception shifts dramatically, blurring the lines between reality and illusion. As Valerie grapples with her burgeoning sexuality, she encounters a series of enigmatic figures, including the lascivious priest Gracian, a mysterious stranger reminiscent of a vampire, and other fantastical carnival characters.
