Heaven Is a Playground (1991)

In the South Side of Chicago, far too many kids face their fate through gun violence. Byron Harper is resolute in changing this narrative with the power of basketball. His standout player, Truth, has a shot at going pro, but Harper must navigate two significant hurdles: Truth's struggle with drugs and his unscrupulous sports agent. That's when Zack Telander enters the scene. A young attorney who has left his small-town practice behind, Zack spends his summer in the city, playing pick-up games and contemplating his next steps. Harper seeks his assistance, but first, Zack must prove his worth on the court.
