Overview

In 1932, after the murder of a police officer, Frank Wiecek is wrongfully convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Years later, a desperate ad placed by Frank's mother catches the attention of journalist P.J. O'Neal, who begins investigating the case. Initially convinced of Frank's guilt, O'Neal gradually uncovers evidence that suggests otherwise. As he delves deeper, he faces mounting opposition from officials eager to maintain their stance, creating a tense battle between seeking justice and protecting reputations.
