Overview

Albert Topaze, a principled schoolteacher, finds himself at odds with the greedy M. Muche, the owner of the private school where he works. Muche's daughter manipulates Topaze, aware of his feelings for her. After his unwavering honesty leads to an unjust firing, he becomes a target for Suzy Courtois, a cunning woman linked to a corrupt politician, Regis, seeking a façade of integrity.
