Urusei Yatsura: Only You (1983)

Ataru, just six years old, unknowingly proposes to Elle by stepping on her shadow during a playful game, a gesture laden with significance in her culture. Fast forward eleven years, Elle returns to Earth, eager to claim her betrothed, only to find that Ataru has forgotten their childhood encounter and is now dating Lum. As Elle’s intentions become clear, Lum springs into action, determined to thwart the impending marriage.
