Between Pain and Amen

Overview

A talented young composer and double bass prodigy returns to Romania after his studies in Vienna, only to face a shocking turn of events. Shortly after his engagement, he is apprehended by the political police and imprisoned in Pitesti, a site infamous for its brutal brainwashing and torture experiments modeled after Soviet methods. Under the ruthless command of the notorious Ciumau, he must navigate the harrowing realities of this oppressive regime while clinging to his passion for music and the hope of freedom.
