The People Across the Lake (1988)
Seeking refuge from urban crime, Chuck Yoman relocates his family to a charming old house by a serene lake. Their newfound tranquility is shattered when they stumble upon a gruesomely dismembered body in the water, followed by the discovery of another corpse hidden in the nearby woods. As the dark secrets of their idyllic town unravel, the Yomans soon realize that their quest for safety may have led them into a far more dangerous situation.
