Of Gods and Men

Overview

At the Tibhirine monastery in Algeria, a group of Trappist monks coexist peacefully with the local Muslim community. Their tranquil life is shattered as violent clashes erupt between the Algerian army and Jihadi insurgents. Faced with the terrifying prospect of abandoning the villagers they've served, the monks grapple with their beliefs and sense of duty. Ultimately, they choose to remain, standing alongside their neighbors in a courageous stand against the encroaching violence, determined to protect their community despite the escalating danger surrounding them.
