Marriage Counselor Tora-san (1984)
As Tora-san's family in Shibamata gears up for a wedding, he embarks on another journey, crossing paths with an old friend in Iwate. Hesitant to drink with him, Tora-san fears his friend's settled life might tempt him back into his own unsettled ways. While Tora-san develops feelings for a local barber, he ultimately decides to end their budding romance, prioritizing her stability over his desires. Unfortunately, she soon finds herself caught in a tumultuous relationship with a motorcyclist, leading Tora-san to grapple with his choices and the impact of his wandering lifestyle.
