Overview

A German film crew travels to a secluded village in northeastern Turkey to document the life of an elderly Kurdish woman. As she enacts a poignant ritual to honor her deceased son, a young translator assisting the crew juggles her role while caring for seven-year-old Melek. Unbeknownst to them, Melek’s father is involved with a mysterious organization, shrouded in secrecy.
