Somewhere in Dreamland
Overview
Two ragged children, a boy and girl, scavenge for wood amid the snowy streets, encountering a tailor, butcher, and baker who express their sympathy. Returning home, they find their mother has prepared a meager meal of stale bread. As the siblings settle into bed, their dreams take a sweet turn, overflowing with delightful images of ice cream, donuts, candies, and cakes. However, the question lingers: upon waking, will they still face the harsh reality of their impoverished lives, or will their dreams offer a glimmer of hope?
