Blindness (2016)

Overview

Julia Brystiger, a notorious officer of Stalin’s security police, known as Bloody Luna for her ruthless interrogation tactics, grapples with her violent past in the early 1960s. Set in a center for the blind near Warsaw, she encounters Cardinal Wyszyński, whom she once imprisoned. Their intense dialogue reveals Brystiger's internal conflict as she renounces her communist beliefs, seeking redemption for her actions. Desperate for spiritual guidance, she pleads for forgiveness, illustrating the struggle between her former allegiance and her quest for meaning and faith amid her haunting memories.
