Vautrin the Thief (1943)
Jacques Collin, notorious criminal known as Trompe la mort or abbot Carlos Herrera, breaks free from prison. His path crosses with Lucien de Rubempré, a passionate and vulnerable young man who falls into despair after a rejection.
