Marighella (2021)
Carlos Marighella, an Afro-Brazilian poet and politician, emerges as a fierce revolutionary in response to the 1964 CIA-supported military coup, which dismantled civil and human rights in Brazil. Confronted by the oppressive and racist regime that ensues, Marighella makes the heart-wrenching decision to abandon his family, including his wife and son, to wage a battle against the corrupt power dynamics of his time.
