The Killing of Sister George (1968)
June Buckridge bursts into her London apartment, declaring, "They are going to murder me," signaling a shift in her turbulent relationship with her devoted partner, Alice "Childie" McNaught. June’s distress stems from the planned demise of her beloved television character, Sister George, a charming nurse in a hit daytime soap. Complicating matters is Mercy Croft, the widowed BBC executive orchestrating Sister George's exit. Mercy, a determined predator, sets her sights on Childie, willing to go to any lengths to claim her. As tensions rise, loyalties are tested and love hangs in the balance.
