A year has passed since Nicole and Jesse disappeared after fleeing home, leaving their families in turmoil. When Tom, Jesse's brother, returns from military service, he teams up with friends Marilyn and Jared to find the missing couple. Their quest takes them to an eerie stretch of an old highway featuring a sinister rest stop.
