In Hakodate, a city interconnected by its streetcar system, lives intertwine in poignant ways. A recently unemployed man and his younger sister embark on a mountain journey to witness the New Year’s first sunrise, seeking hope amidst uncertainty. Concurrently, Haruo grapples with the challenges of running his family's gas business, facing mounting struggles that test his resolve. As their paths converge, the characters navigate the bittersweet realities of life, striving to find meaning and connection in their shared experiences.
