Overview

Paradiset, a bustling boarding house in the Stockholm archipelago, is under the firm management of Elvira Pettersson. The establishment hosts an eclectic mix of guests. When maid Lotta abruptly resigns, she inadvertently leaves an iron on, prompting her brother Julle to return under the cover of night to switch it off. Caught in the act, he concocts an elaborate ruse, claiming to be the esteemed Argentine opera sensation, Don Carlos, whom the residents have eagerly anticipated. Chaos ensues as Julle's charade leads to a series of humorous misunderstandings and unexpected revelations.
