Apple Annie, a struggling single mother, has long spun a tale of wealth and sophistication for her daughter Louise, who lives in Spain. When Louise unexpectedly announces her plans to visit New York with her fiancé and his aristocratic father, a count, Annie is thrown into a frenzy.
