Mary Giordano, a sharp student at a Catholic school, becomes enthralled by mystery novels, igniting her passion for amateur sleuthing. When she investigates a series of murders targeting teenage girls, her curiosity leads her to clash with her mentor, Detective Jerry Gunn.
