Overview

In a small East Texas town, Jack finds himself smitten with Ginny, the daughter of the local banker and his mother’s former flame. Despite her father's fierce disapproval and Ginny’s upcoming plans to attend Vassar, their summer romance intensifies. As the season concludes, they impulsively elope to Louisiana, where they can marry young. While Jack starts working in the oil fields, Ginny faces troubling news from her doctor and her father sends a private investigator to track them down. With secrets and unexpected challenges looming, Jack and Ginny must confront the realities of their love under a deceptive moon.
