Overview

In nineteenth-century London, a naive young woman falls head over heels for a charming but dangerous womanizer who lives outside the law. Determined to marry him, she ignores her family's fierce objections. Her father, the infamous king of thieves, refuses to let his daughter ruin her future. He uses his underworld connections to have the criminal arrested, shattering the romance before it can begin.
