Overview

Amandla explores the complexities of childhood innocence amid apartheid's harsh realities in South Africa during 1987. Brothers Impi and Nkosana grow up on a progressive farm, forming an unlikely bond with Elizabeth, the white daughter of their employers. However, their peaceful life shatters when violent, racist intruders disrupt their world, leading to devastating consequences. Years later, the brothers find themselves on opposite sides of the law—one as a gangster, the other as a police officer. A brutal gang crime forces them to confront their loyalty and the scars of their shared past.
