Rob Salinger, a dedicated TV reporter, dreams of becoming a father, but his ambitious wife, Micki, has no time for children. A passionate affair with a charming cellist, Maude, unexpectedly results in her pregnancy. Just when Rob thinks he has his life figured out, Micki reveals she too is expecting.
