Overview

Set in the 1950s American Southwest, Beaudray Demerille, a middle-aged drifter and card shark, finds his life upended after a recent win. Instead of fortune, he gains an unexpected companion: the spirited 13-year-old Wanda Nevada. Initially eager to rid himself of her, Beaudray's plans shift when Wanda discovers a treasure map. Their pursuit of riches becomes a race against time as they face off against a dangerous duo of criminals also after the treasure. Together, they navigate perilous challenges, forming an unlikely bond along the way.
