Ondine (2010)
Syracuse, a recovering fisherman living in Cork, grapples with his troubled past as he cares for his ailing daughter, Annie, whose kidneys are deteriorating. His life takes a turn when he rescues a mysterious woman from his fishing net; she introduces herself as Ondine and insists on secrecy. Syracuse offers her refuge in his late mother's secluded cottage. Intrigued, Annie believes Ondine is a selkie, a mythical creature that transforms from seal to human. As Syracuse navigates his feelings of hope and fear, the bond between them deepens, challenging his perceptions of reality and love.
