Overview

Laid off after decades as a shipbuilder in Glasgow, 55-year-old Frank Redmond finds himself adrift and struggling with a lack of purpose. Although his friends—eccentric Danny, anxious Norman, and cynical Eddie—offer support, Frank grapples with feelings of isolation. A casual comment from Danny sparks an idea that challenges him to confront his insecurities and reconnect with his estranged son, Rob, and devoted wife, Joan.
