The Stone Tape (1972)
A group of researchers from an electronics firm sets up in a decrepit Victorian mansion, aiming to develop an innovative recording medium. Jill Greeley, a member of the team, encounters a ghostly presence, prompting team leader Peter Brock to investigate further. He theorizes that the haunting is a psychic imprint embedded in the stone structure, coining the term "stone tape" for it. Determined to understand and eliminate the specter, he undertakes an exorcism, leading to chilling and unforeseen consequences for the entire team.
