Overview

Following her mother's passing, Sara relocates to the South Side of Chicago to stay with her father and enrolls in a predominantly black high school. Her life begins to improve when she forms a friendship with Chenille and her brother Derek, who becomes instrumental in enhancing her dancing abilities. As they bond over their passion for dance, Sara finds support and a sense of belonging in her new environment, navigating challenges and cultural differences along the way.
