Twin Sisters (2002)

Overview

Set in 1920s Germany, twin sisters Lotte and Anna face a heartbreaking separation following their parent’s funeral. Lotte is taken in by her affluent Dutch aunt in Holland, while Anna is sent to toil as a farmhand on her uncle's estate in Germany. The ravages of World War II shape their disparate lives, creating a chasm of experience between them. As the years pass, fate eventually reunites them in their twilight years, allowing them to confront their shared past and the choices that defined their journeys apart.
