Lina from Lima (2022)
During the festive Christmas season, Lina returns to Chile a decade after leaving her son in Peru to work as a domestic helper. She is approached by Manuel, a former employer, to oversee the construction of a swimming pool for his daughter Clara at his new home. As Lina navigates her role caring for Clara in the sparsely populated house, she grapples with loneliness through fleeting romantic encounters with strangers at night. These experiences reveal her internal struggles and longing for connection, amidst the backdrop of the holiday spirit.
