Overview

Cio-Cio-San, a young Japanese woman, is swept off her feet by American officer Lieutenant Pinkerton, only to face heartbreak when he abandons her shortly after their wedding. Clinging to hope, she waits for his return. Three years later, her dreams are shattered when she spots Pinkerton’s ship, brimming with anticipation.
