Overview

Set in the 1930s, Count Almásy, a Hungarian cartographer, works with the Royal Geographical Society to explore and map the sweeping Sahara Desert, joining forces with notable adventurers. However, as World War II begins to reshape the world, Almásy finds himself entangled in a complex web of romance, treachery, and political intrigue.
