When her mother puts the family house up for sale, decolonial writer Julietta Singh travels back to her childhood home along the Assiniboine River to bid it farewell. Listening to the stories held within its walls, she finds the house opening onto 140 years of forgotten histories—Japanese, Deaf, Métis, Indigenous, and Irish women whose lives, much like Singh's own, were defined by care and resistance. Blurring genre and bridging communities, the film turns the home into something larger than a private archive: a place where radical feminist possibility takes root.
