In 1993, Canadian Lieutenant General Roméo Dallaire leads the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) amid escalating tensions. Tasked with maintaining a fragile ceasefire, Dallaire faces an uphill battle with a poorly funded and bureaucratic mission, comprising diverse military units from around the globe, each with conflicting agendas.
