Queen Margot (1994)
Set in Paris during the tumultuous summer of 1572, "Queen Margot" follows the story of Marguerite de Valois, a Catholic princess and sister to the weak King Charles IX. In a bid to prevent escalating religious conflicts between Catholics and Huguenots, Marguerite is wed to Henry III of Navarre, a leader of the Huguenots. This politically charged marriage aims to unite two rival factions, but it sets the stage for intrigue, betrayal, and violence in a kingdom on the brink of chaos.
