Of Sheep and Men (2017)
In 2016 Algiers, 16-year-old Habib aspires to be a veterinarian but opts instead to train a ram named "El Bouq" for sheep fighting glory. Meanwhile, 42-year-old Samir struggles with his daily grind of selling sheep, focused solely on making ends meet. With Eid approaching, Samir sees a chance to boost his earnings as many will purchase sheep for the celebration. For Habib, however, the stakes are higher—will El Bouq triumph in the ring, or will their dreams end in tragedy? The intertwining fates of these two men unfold against a backdrop of hope and hardship.
