The Clouded Yellow (1950)
David Somers, portrayed by Trevor Howard, transitions from the British Secret Service to a quieter life cataloging butterflies at the estate of Nicholas and Jess Fenton. When a local gamekeeper is murdered, their niece, Sophie Malraux (Jean Simmons), becomes an unwarranted suspect. Determined to clear her name, Somers aids Sophie in evading capture, leading them on a tense escape across the countryside. Their journey culminates in a coastal city where they plan to flee by ship.
