Overview

Dawn's senior year takes a dark turn when her reckless mother dies unexpectedly, leading her to live with Aunt Jamie, a church co-pastor. Adjusting proves difficult, and soon Dawn flees, unaware of the dangers awaiting her on the streets. Vulnerable and naive, she falls for a street hustler's charm, plunging into a life far removed from her previous reality. Meanwhile, Jamie, realizing her home isn't the sanctuary she believed, joins forces with a street minister to find Dawn. As they search, Jamie uncovers deeper issues that require healing, highlighting that both women are in need of rescue.
