Overview

Dr. Braun, a Viennese surgeon, and his daughter Leni seek refuge from Hitler in a quaint North Dakota town. As the Dust Bowl's harsh realities loom, local leader John Phillips rallies the community to seek a better life in Oregon. Amidst this upheaval, John develops feelings for Leni, who is already promised to her rescuer from the Third Reich. Torn between loyalty to her benefactor and her growing attraction to John, Leni faces a heart-wrenching choice that could reshape their futures and the town's destiny.
