Frustrated by years of unfulfilled promises for an MLS team in Philadelphia, a passionate group of soccer enthusiasts formed the Sons of Ben, a supporters club aimed at rallying community support for a local franchise. Initially aiming for just 100 members by year’s end, their grassroots efforts quickly exploded, amassing over 1,500 fans in a remarkably short time.
